Screen casting is an awesome feature which allows us to Mirror the smartphone screen to a bigger screen like laptop. But it uses wireless mediums like WIFI and Hotspot which causes delayed mirroring and sometimes the audio and video are not synced. So USB(wired) screen casting is a better option to cast an Android screen without latency and smoothly control it from a Laptop. We can even cast Netflix and games like PUBG without any latency or syncing and blank screen problems. So let’s begin this “How To” tutorial.
STEP 1 : Download ADB
Open the following link.
STEP 2 : Download ADB
Scroll down and Click on Download SDK Platform-Tools for Windows link.
STEP 3 : Download ADB
Click on the agree the terms and conditons checkbox. Then click on download button to download platform tools zip file.
STEP 4 : Install ADB
Extract the zip fie in C Drive and Rename the extracted folder as ‘adb’.
STEP 5 : Download SCRCPY
Open the following link and scroll down to find Windows under Get the app section. Then download the scrcpy-win64-v1.14.zip file.
STEP 6 : Install SCRCPY
Extract the downloaded zip file under c:/adb file , which was created earlier.
STEP 7 : USB Debugging
Connect your smartphone with laptop using usb and turn on USB debugging. To turn on USB debugging follow the steps below
1.In your Smartphone click on Settings.
2.Then click on System.
3.Then click on About Phone.
4.Then click on Build Number for 6 to 7 times until the developer mode is turned on.
5.Go back and find Developer options and click on it.
6.Find USB debugging option and turn it on.
STEP 8 : Screen Mirroring
Open Command Prompt from search bar and and and follow the procedures to start Mirroring.
1. Enter cd .. in command prompt and press enter.
2. Enter cd .. in command prompt again and press enter. We are now in C drive
3. Enter cd adb in command prompt and press enter. Now we are in adb folder.
4. Enter scrcpy in command prompt and press enter and Wait for few seconds. You can see your smartphone screen in your laptop.Then Maximize it
